Close behind is NINJAGO City Markets (71799) at 6,163 pieces, also from 2023, and The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr (10333) at 5,478 pieces from 2024.

The next tier includes Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (75367) at 5,381 pieces, Avengers Tower (76269) at 5,202 pieces with 31 minifigures, and Disney Castle (43222) at 4,837 pieces. All three came out in 2023, which puts them furthest into the window of anything on this list.

How the window breaks down by theme

LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has the deepest bench in this window, with entries like Studgate Train Station (910002), Mountain Fortress (910029), Mountain View Observatory (910027), Parisian Street (910032), Modular Construction Site (910008), Brick Cross (910034), Ominous Isle (910038), Logging Railway (910035), Winter Chalet (910004), Old Train Engine Shed (910033), and Ocean House (910036). These are limited-run sets by design, sold through BrickLink rather than general retail, so they tend to stop production faster than mainline sets even inside the same two-to-three-year window.

LEGO Icons is the next-heaviest, with Lord of the Rings: Rivendell (10316), The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr (10333), NASA Artemis Space Launch System (10341), Medieval Town Square (10332), The Endurance (10335), PAC-MAN Arcade (10323), Eldorado Fortress (10320), Land Rover Classic Defender 90 (10317), and Concorde (10318) all released in 2023 or 2024. LEGO LEGO Ideas and CUUSOO follows with The Botanical Garden (21353), Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale (21348), The Orient Express Train (21344), Hocus Pocus (21341), Viking Village (21343), A-Frame Cabin (21338), and Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (21351).

LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Super Heroes Marvel each have four sets in the window: Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (75367), Jabba's Sail Barge (75397), Chewbacca (75371), and X-Wing Starfighter (75355) for Star Wars; Avengers Tower (76269), Captain America's Shield (76262), The X-Mansion (76294), and The Milano Spaceship (76286) for Marvel. What to prioritise if you're tracking this window

If you only track one thing, track the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program sets. They're already sold outside normal retail, in smaller runs, and once a run like Ominous Isle (910038) or Ocean House (910036) is gone, it's gone — there's no restock to wait for the way there sometimes is with a mainline LEGO Icons set.

Among the big single releases, Lord of the Rings: Rivendell (10316) and NINJAGO City Markets (71799) are both from 2023 and both past 6,000 pieces, which makes them the two largest sets anywhere in the window. Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors' Edition (76417) is the largest LEGO Harry Potter entry, and Disney Castle (43222) is the largest from LEGO Disney, both notable because their theme has fewer big releases than LEGO Icons or LEGO Super Heroes Marvel to begin with.

Don't ignore the smaller-theme outliers either. Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) is the only Zelda set in this window, at 2,500 pieces, and Dragon of the East Palace (80049) and Megapolis City 5th Anniversary (80054) are the only two LEGO Monkie Kid sets over 2,000 pieces released in 2023 or 2024.
